We're reminded, almost continually, of our own mortality, right? Why is it, then, that most of us resolve to do things, accomplish goals or life long dreams, but then allow ourselves to fall through with our promises? Personally, I think it has something to do with the fact that the great majority of people live between the neat little lines society draws for them. But why!
I can't even count the number of times I've heard, "Oh, a book, that's great! So...what's your back up plan?" To be honest I've gotten more than a little tired of hearing that. It strikes me as strange, that that many people lack an imagination. We're all authors, but our lives are the blank pages and they are our own to write. We know this when we're young, but somewhere between bills and work it gets lost. Happiness is being satisfied, so whether that goal is big or small , go try it, do it, or accomplish it. Afterall, the clock is ticking, right? And plus...why not?
Cheers
I agree! Back up plans turn into cop-outs waaaay too often!
