If life wasn't busy enough, I have decided to make it a little more complicated. Writer's Digest is having their 81st annual writing competition and I just entered. There are 10 categories, ranging from poetry to general fiction and back again, so I'm not entirely sure which one I will choose, but I have to write a new piece of work for it. The word limit is 3,000 in most cases, so my book comes up just over the limit.....by about 81,000 words.
For anyone thinking of entering, or just wanting to check it out, here is the link . The grand prize is three thousand bucks and a host of other things, so it might be worth checking out. Just saying. Once my piece is written and polished, I'm going to submit and simultaneously post it up here, so keep an eye out for it!
